Saturday was a really busy day for us. We had a ward service project, we worked around a ladies house just doing odds and ends. I used a hedge trimmer for the first time and after about 18 seconds I managed to cut the extension cord. Luckily the cord was salvaged and I went back to work more careful than before. We finished up around noon and came home to clean up and head out to the World Grits Festival in St George, SC (apparently they eat more grits per capita than anywhere else in the world).
This is the cake they made, it was huge 10 sheet cakes.

MaryEllen is standing by the highlight of the festival. An inflatable pool full of grits. The contest: weigh yourself, then you have 10 seconds to swim, dive, roll in and splash in the grits, finally re-weigh yourself and the winner is the one with the greatest difference in weight. I think the kid that won during this contest had 14 pounds of grits on her!

The best technique was to tuck your shirt in and shove the grits down your neck hole.

Today we went and saw the Blue Angels fly. It was kinda fun but the seats werent that great so we went home and napped.
